i met two Russians, Slava and Viktor, and then a Vietnamese, Chi Linh, a British guy, Mr. Jurie, a Mexican, Ella Bella, an African, Tharusha, and two Bolivians, Mateo and Joseph. They're all kind, and spending most of their time on concerning about the nature.
Now, i will tell you, what i think about Tunza. Tunza is an event, held by Indonesian Environmental Department. it is held in order to design the 2nd Earth Summit after Rio Earth Summit in 1992. Leaders from Africa, in the closing ceremony said this, "If 55 years ago, our leaders held an Asia and Africa Conference for freedom from colonialism, now we are here for freedom from environmental destruction." A good point!
In the declaration, we declare that Green Economy and Sustainable Lifestyles is our best future, yep i agree, cause we're not living in this world for this present time only, but also for our future, that's why we gotta build a good place for our next generations to live in.
So, exactly a year from now, there will be an event held in Rio De Janiero, Brazil, "RIO+20" which will discuss bigger environmental issues than the one we discussed in Tunza Conference, so i cant wait for it! ( i actually havent signed up for the event, bcs i dont know yet, whether i will be available or not on that date, as i told you earlier that i'm on my last highschool years, and i'm about to enter university, there's so much thing to do, yet so little time :( *sobbing*).
still, thank God, for allowing me to join the conference, and gave me so much priceless experiences. i'm so blessed.
(whoopsss, i havent got the notification from UNSW for the writing contest, i wanna get my departure confirmation as soon as possible! my teacher said, i will get one notification in october if i'm short listed, so wish me luck, guys!)
much love,
from Bandung, XO!
