Footprints.

I was driving late at night, and this thought came into my mind.
When a moment passed, it will leave nothing but the memory, therefore, the only thing make us really sure that it was all real is what was left from it. let's say, a footprint. if there was no footprint left, and the memory slowly fades, nothing is left for us to hold on to. we start to lose it.
like those homo sapiens, they left footprints, bones, or even DNA strain everywhere. they left it for us. for us to see, learn, and understand. they contribute something to make us smarter, stronger, and more powerful than ever. i am not sure they did it with that purpose, but at least they did it.
even the prodigies can't avoid losing their memory. all our brains cells, especially in the memory area keep duplicating themselves. new cells copy the memory from the old-and-ready-to-die cells. they keep copying. copying from the copies. that's why it slowly fades away.
that's why we need something to keep us remember that everything we've been through was all real. i was once an ignorant. and i threw all the things i thought i won't need.
now, everything feels so blur, and i need something to make sure that it was all real.
from now on, i will leave footprints on everything i do, no matter how unimportant it is, cause i dont want something so priceless fades just like that.
if i could turn back time, i wouldnt throw those things back to you, i would keep it in my pandora box, just in case my memory fades and i start to question whether it was all true. only if i could turn back time.

Tunza International Children and Youth Conference

it was a total blast! meeting new people from different countries, different family backgrounds, different languages, different culture, gave me a whole new perspectives. everyone in that conference is smart, and you can always learn something new all the time. it was educative, yet fun. gonna post some pics later :)

i met two Russians, Slava and Viktor, and then a Vietnamese, Chi Linh, a British guy, Mr. Jurie, a Mexican, Ella Bella, an African, Tharusha, and two Bolivians, Mateo and Joseph. They're all kind, and spending most of their time on concerning about the nature.

Now, i will tell you, what i think about Tunza. Tunza is an event, held by Indonesian Environmental Department. it is held in order to design the 2nd Earth Summit after Rio Earth Summit in 1992. Leaders from Africa, in the closing ceremony said this, "If 55 years ago, our leaders held an Asia and Africa Conference for freedom from colonialism, now we are here for freedom from environmental destruction." A good point!

In the declaration, we declare that Green Economy and Sustainable Lifestyles is our best future, yep i agree, cause we're not living in this world for this present time only, but also for our future, that's why we gotta build a good place for our next generations to live in.

So, exactly a year from now, there will be an event held in Rio De Janiero, Brazil, "RIO+20" which will discuss bigger environmental issues than the one we discussed in Tunza Conference, so i cant wait for it! ( i actually havent signed up for the event, bcs i dont know yet, whether i will be available or not on that date, as i told you earlier that i'm on my last highschool years, and i'm about to enter university, there's so much thing to do, yet so little time :( *sobbing*).

still, thank God, for allowing me to join the conference, and gave me so much priceless experiences. i'm so blessed.

(whoopsss, i havent got the notification from UNSW for the writing contest, i wanna get my departure confirmation as soon as possible! my teacher said, i will get one notification in october if i'm short listed, so wish me luck, guys!)

much love,
from Bandung, XO!

Blessing or Grace?

Hello, it feels good to finally post something on my blog.
My IELTS preparation teacher said that 'grace' and 'blessing' is different. blessing is when you're being kind and doing good things then God gives you something makes you happy as a reward, but grace is something you really dont deserve, but God still gives you that anyways. He is being kind to everyone, and i feel really grateful cause He seems to love me so much. He loves me so much. I dont know how to categorize all of the things that happened to me lately. So, whether blessing or grace, He makes me happy, and i'm thankful for that. thank you, God.

these all are the things that happened to me lately :
1. I'm on IELTS preparation. and the test will be held in 5 weeks (wish me luck!)
2. I'll join Tunza International Youth and Children Conference, which will take place in Bandung on 27 septemeber 2011 - 1 october 2011. I heard Jackie Chan, Maria Sharapova, and Eto'o will also join the conference. (wish i could get the handsign!)
3. I got an invitation from United Nation Conference (TOLMUN) which will take place in Mexico, in late october. (i still havent decided whether to join the conference or not, bcs i'm a 12th grader and i'm preparing for the graduation and university entrance, so skipping school for 2 weeks is a big deal)
4. The school asked me to join the UNSW writing competition in Australia, if i win, i will get the prize which is a-free-2-weeks-vacation. (wish me luck, again!)
5. I'm planning on having a Europe trip at the end of the year, but i'm still not really sure, i'll let you know if something changes.

Viva la vita e bella!

Malaysia and Singapore Trip, July, 2011

yeppppp!
i'm doing a lil bit of this, and a lil bit of that, till i dont have time left to blog.
yess, so here we go...
i went to Malaysia dan Singapore last month, on a family trip. the skyscrapers, and other infrastructure development got me dazed for longer than a moment. the last time my sissy went to Malaysia, it wasnt as magnificent as this, Kuala Lumpur looks way much prettier than before, and it keeps getting prettier and prettier. and i'm wondering, at the present time, how can someone say that Malaysia looks just like Indonesia? i already knew the differences without even observing, with just a glimpse of an eye, we can know that the city transportation is better, the crime rate is lower, the city is neat, and everything was arranged perfectly, so there's no way someone can say both country looks just alike, theirs is better.
we as Indonesian, especially me, feel like i got a lot of things to catch up, cause while they seem to continue developing the country, we seem to continue developing nothing.
I went to Genting Highland, Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur (Petronas, Petaling Street , Central Market), and then took off to Singapore to shop, Singapore Great Sale (Orchard Road, ION, Far East Plaza, and had some kaya toast somewhere near Orchard).

so, here's the photos, taken and edited most by my sister.

so long and see you again!

a month had passed, and now im officially a 12th-grader,people said that high school is the best years of one's life, so now, im already in the last year of the best years of my life.im so gonna enjoy it to the fullest.
bad news seem to never go away from the good news, a wonderful friend of mine, decided to leave indonesia. she's leaving for washington, US. this post might be uber cheesy, but i kinda sad for losing such a wonderful friend like her. before totally leaving, she made a promise to me, that she will be back a year from now.
2 weeks ago, we took part in the making of my 32011's (my seniors') prom, the theme was casino, with some giant dices, giant cards, giant poker chips, red, white, black, gold as the color domination, voila! we made it.
got a lot of compliments from my seniors. got 15 free passes to enjoy the party. me and my wonderful friend were just sitting on one of the benches in the corner of the hall. we were enjoying the party, and literally singing out loud.
one of my female seniors played a solo guitar on the stage, and then she said, "if i were to stay here for another year, i might gonna be the one who plays the solo guitar on the stage of our own prom..." then i said, "you still can, come back here a year from now, and play your coolest performance in front of us. you're one of us, and you will still be one of us."
there, she promised me to come back a year from now, and play her best solo guitar performance for our own prom. so long, good bye, and see you again :')

pepsi twist lemon

i got the result, remember when i told you about the Google Science Fair? yeah, i didnt make it. i feel so sad knowing that my social sciences project isnt good enough to be in the big 60. yeah, but i feel okay with it. there are 7500 entries from 10000 scientists over 90 countries. what an amount. so, instead of being sad, i feel so proud right now because at least i tried and i feel like i found what i'm searching for, yes, i got my leadership back. and it feels so good knowing that i'm not that helpless little airhead alive.
yeah, and now, i'm enjoying my pepsi twist lemon and giving a vote to a project that got me impressed. this is not the taste of victory, but i'm still okay with it, i can deal with it, and it's good. like a glass of pepsi twist, it tastes like lemon, i dont like lemon, but at least it still is twisting. and i'm enjoying the twist :)

PS : i'm going to spend my next holiday in KL and Singapore. it's gonna be legen-wait for it-dary.

invraisemblable ; la meilleure nuit du mois.

the best night of the month, i was dancing like crazy, and the show ends at 2am. definitely hours i would never spend regularly awake, but for tahiti80, i did. i spent the whole night dancing with my mates. a cool way to let things out. i was jumping, and posing all the moves. the crowd was so cool, and spirited and awesome. nothing beats the last song, heartbeat. :)

PS: Mederic Gontier even said : 'wilujeng sumping' and 'nuhun'.
PPS : 'wilujeng sumping' means hello, and 'nuhun' means thank you, it's sundanese.
PPPS: above i attached their pics when they performed in bandung.

from bandung with a great hangover, xoxo.

Upcoming events.

On 9th may 2011, Google Science Fair 2011. Wish me luck! Amin! I really hope i can get the internship in National Geographic or Scientific America...or CERN. Amin. Wish me luck!!!! amin.

Let things go.

So, here's the deal, when we get some, we already lose some at the same moment. And i basically super agree with that. but it feels easier just to keep things stay and gain some more instead of let things go and gain some more. but, some other things just cant work that way.

i'm having a terrible conflict with one of my bestest, and i dont know why, i just want to give up. this is not the first time for me to have conflicts, but it is the biggest, and it might get me hurt deeper. and i just dont want that. i cant do things this way. i cant live everyday, and have to be careful when i say anything. i can control my own attitude, my own feelings, but i cant control one's thought. one's feelings. i just cant. and i dont want to get hurt. i just dont want that.

so, i basically let 'that thing' go. thank you mr. isaac newton, for the reaction law. i know i cant go through this without let any shit out.

and you, i might've done something wrong, i know, but you might've done that too.

much love from bandung, indonesia.

It was good to be back.

Like a big reunion, and it drags me back to a year ago, when i thought things were just a bunch of mess and i was so ready to move things on, and now i realize that it was a really good year, and fortunately i enjoyed it :)

special thanks to : Awing for the party. much love.

Kings of Leon and my Birthday

"the way she often calls me out
It's in the curve of your pretty gown
You come on legs and your pantyhose
You look so precious with your bloody nose

We gonna come together, we gonna celebrate
We gonna gather round, like it's your birthday
I don't wanna know, just what I'm gonna do
I don't care where your going, I'm coming along with you

Walking her home with the grassy field
Fallin and laughin at the drinks we spilled
Just one of those nights that I have to share
She's in a daze, without a care

We gonna come together, we gonna celebrate
We gonna gather round, like it's your birthday
I don't wanna know, just what I'm gonna do
I don't care where your going, I'm coming along with you".

Birthday by Kings of Leon. Happy birthday. Happy valentine <3
